How to Delete Your Google Plus Profile

Google has made announcements regarding Google+; It is shutting down consumer version of Google+ by the end of August upcoming year. The reason behind this move is that social network exposed personal data of almost 500,000 users. The breach took place between 2015- 2018, as stated by the Wall Street Journal.

 It was first launched in 2011, and millions of users signed up with it. Many people also created a profile for some other services like Gmail and YouTube. Google is about to veil its social network so just follow the steps if you want to delete your profile and back up your data.

Delete Your Google+ Profile

First and foremost thing that anybody would like to do is to download any data that you have posted to service. Namely the photos. To do so:

1.    Head to Google Takeout download page.

2.    Log in if you are not logged in already.

3.    Choose Google+.

4.    Or any other Google Service you need a backup of.

5.    It is a vast list of services, and it is entirely possible that you are not aware of many.

6.    For making it Google+ specific.

7.    Tap Select None button.

8.    Only turn on Google specific.

9.    Scroll down to hit next.

10.  You can choose to get a download link through email or upload it to Dropbox or OneDrive.

11.  You can select the archive file with the maximum size.

12.  The time taken will vary on how much data you have put up on the service.

13.  So now that you have the data Simply delete the profile.

14.  Head over to Google+ Downgrade page.

15.  Sign in and follow onscreen instructions.

16.  You need just to tap a couple of boxes.

Well, until you are done with Google’s social network. If you are an Android user and have the Google+ app, then delete that too. Google+ for G Suite is going to live long. Google lately has announced features such as more admin tools for managing posts. It will permit the employees to tag the content.
