How to Troubleshoot ERR Connection Timed Out Issue in Chrome on Windows 10?


Sometimes, when the users want to connect to a website, then the Google Chrome browser failed to fetch the website to the browser and shows an error which shows that “This Webpage is not available-ERR CONNECTION TIMED OUT. This is the most common error arises due to many other reasons.

Below we discussed the steps or procedure for solving or fixing this error. This error can be fixing by following few easy steps, but to save your time you need to follow the steps in ascending order. The steps are mentioned below:

Sometimes, only your PC is responsible for these types of problems or errors. Though it can happen with any of the browsers since most of the users are using one browser, however, this one is a network issue, so the problem is related to your PC only.

1. Check Network Cables, Restart your Router and Reconnect
Be sure about your cable connection, check your cables are connected properly to your PC or your router. If any of the users are connected with the Wi-Fi, then you need to restart your router once. And at last, users can opt always to forget the Wi-Fi and then reconnect it, but you always need to remember the password.

2. Carefully Check your Windows Host File
The user needs to cross-check the Windows Host File only to see if the website has been blocked or not. Many times some third party application modifies the file only to add the block lists of websites. If the website is in the list then remove it first.

3. Remove the Proxy
1. Press Windows + R together in the keyboard.
2. Then, type the word “inetcpl.cpl.”
3. Click on Enter tab, to open the Internet Properties.
4. Alternatively, click on the Connections tab.
5. Now, choose the LAN Settings.
6. Uncheck the box of Use a Proxy Server for your LAN
7. Confirm that “Automatically detect settings” is checked or not.
8. Click on OK button.
9. Finally, Restart your PC.

4. Run the Chrome Cleanup Tool
You need to run the Chrome browser’s built-in Chrome’s Malware Scanner & Cleanup Tool. This tool will help the users in removing unwanted ads, pop-ups and malware, any unusual Startup pages, toolbar and some other things that ruin the skills by crashing the websites or by overloading the pages with some memory request.
And users always need to reinstall Chrome by deleting the user profile and then only install the plug-ins one by one to check that this was the core issue. However, these types of problems will always take so much time in resolving so that user always need to start from basic then select the advanced options.
