How to Manage FTP Server on Windows 10

10.   You will have to Port forwarding page, under the Advanced settings or WAN option.

11.   Add the new rule to permit the incoming connections.

12.   Enter a name for the Port in Service Name.

13.   Set 21 as the Port Range.

14.   Select TCP in Protocol column.

15.   Click the Add button and select Apply to save the changes.

Setting up Static IP Address

You must configure the Static IP address while creating a FTP server to send or receive the file on the internet. If you do that, then there would be no need to configure the router again.

1.       Type Control Panel in the search bar.

2.       Click to open it and select Network & Internet.

3.       Select Network & Sharing Center.

4.       Click Change Adapter Settings option from the left pane.

5.       Right click on the network adapter.

6.       Now, click Properties.

7.       Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) option.

8.       Click the Properties.

9.       Now, select the "Use the following IP address."

10.   In the IP address section, enter the static network address of your computer.

11.   In the Subnet mask section, enter the 255.255.255.0 which is mostly used for the home network.

12.   In Default Getaway section enter the IP address of the router.

13.   Preferred DNS server also needs the IP address of the router.

14.   Click the Ok button.

Setting up Multiple FTP Accounts

1.       Open the Settings of your Windows computer.

2.       Click the Accounts tab and select Other People.

3.       Now, go to Add Someone Else To This PC option.

Configure User Account to FTP Server

1.       Open the Control Panel and click System & Security.

2.       Click Administrative Tools.

3.       Find Internet Information Services Manager.

4.       Double click it and find Sites from the left pane.

5.       Select the site which created.

6.       Now go to FTP Authorization Rules.

7.       Click on it and proceed to select Add Allow Rule.

8.       If you select All Users, then all users can access FTP server on your computer.

9.       If you select Specified Users, then you can specify the persons to access FTP on your computer.

10.   Now select Read and Write.

11.   Click Ok.
